OS Operation Analyst (Autosys)

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Process Production changes via authorized change process. Analyze business production requirements, develop and implement scheduling solutions based on specs provided.
- Perform complex scheduling modifications as required to improve and optimize the process.
- Perform problem determination and resolutions - (Root Cause analysis)
- Perform application testing to ensure maximum efficiency prior to production promotion.
- Attend weekly change meetings, Project Meetings, Maintain and Develop Standards and Procedures Documentation.
- Troubleshoot scheduling errors; identify redundant processes or tasks and look for ways to automate.
- Must be customer oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Participate in new client initiatives; Disaster Recovery Tests as scheduled, perform other related duties as assigned,
- Have the ability to relay technical issues to non-technical staff, Assist junior staff members.
- Heavy customer interaction; Must be willing to travel (occasional weekend travel).
- Participate in the on-call rotation policy 24 X 7 rotations; Weekend work required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5+ years of data processing experience on Open Systems UNIX and NT Platforms.
- Must have the following: Strong PC Skills, Strong NT and Unix Operating Systems Skills, Scripting skills strongly desired (UNIX, Pearl).
- Must have excellent skills in using the following scheudling products Unicenter AutoSys Scheduler, BMC Control-M or equivalent UNIX/NT scheduling system.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player, Self-starter, Strong customer skills, customer focused.
- Strong problem determination/resolution skills.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively multitask in a fast paced environment.
- Must have advanced AutoSys Job Scheduler and AutoSys Adapter for SAP.
- Working knowledge of HP3000, and IBM AS400 Operating Systems are a plus but not required.
