JOB DESCRIPTION
- Responsible for the execution and set-up of Production application requests - including but not limited to: Scheduling (Changes, Adds, and Deletes), promotion of Source Control, Date Parm and JCL validation for production readiness,
- Responsible for overall application turnover to Production as per predefined Data Center standards.
- Analysis’s manual interventions and recommend possible solutions to management.
- Interface with the applications community.
- Problem determination and resolution, JCL validation for production readiness / turnover, assist junior staff members.
- Participate in new client initiatives; Disaster Recovery Tests as scheduled, perform other related duties as assigned,
- Heavy customer interaction; Must be willing to travel (occasional weekend travel).
- Assist junior staff members.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have excellent CA7 scheduling Skills; JCL and IBM utilities and TSO, VSAM, Source Control Management (Endevor preferred)
- Strong knowledge of production batch processing, solid understanding of data center operations within a Production Environment.
- Excellent problem determination and resolution skills; (Must have the ability to resolve complex scheduling requirements and associated problems)
- Minimum 5+ years of data processing experience on Mainframe systems which includes Production Life Cycle Development; , Programming skills a plus.
- Must be able to work independently and work in a fast paced environment, be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi task.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technical skills.
- Must be customer oriented and customer focused, with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- work in a team environment and be a team player,
- Ability to effectively multitask in a fast paced environment; Strong PC skills desired.
