Oracle DBA

• Support of a large and varied Oracle RDBMS and application server environment spanning over a very extensive Solaris landscape, distributed globally.

• Backup and recovery of total environment.

• Analyzing, planning and implementing upgrade projects.

• Design, development and implementation of new Oracle environments to    

• Schedule.

• Database performance management.

• 24x7 On call databases support.

 

MS SQL DBA

 

• Installation, configuration and upgrading of MSSQL RDBMS server software and related products

• Evaluate MSSQL features and MSSQL related products

• Responsible for optimization, capacity-planning, and performance-fine tuning of the databases

• Monitor and optimize performance of database.

• Implement and enhance database security.

• Implement and test database backup and recovery.

• Design, development and implementation of new environments to schedule.

• Database performance management.

• On call.

 

DB2 DBA

 

• Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures

• Involve in Database design and implementation

• Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)

• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring

• Setup and maintain RDBMS documentation/profile and standards

• Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)

• Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 on call support when required

• Perform general technical trouble shooting and provide consultation to development teams

• Possess good written communications skills, participate in reviews, follow process in executing the work

• Respond to production problems for supported RDBMS applications within the time frame specified in the Service Levels

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Oracle DBA

• Candidate must posses at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent

• Good working knowledge of Oracle 8i

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Oracle RDBMS

• Server, Oracle, SQL Performance Tuning

• Good realtime troubleshooting skills is a must

• Experience in Unix Shell and Perl scripting

• OCP certification will be an added advantage

• Excellent organization team and interpersonal skills, enthusiastic, service-oriented and good communication

• Applicant should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status

MS SQL DBA

·         Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

·         At least 2 years working experience as DBA  in administration and maintaining of critical MSSQL RDBMS (SQL 2000 and SQL2005)

·         Experience as DBA in managing very large MSSQL databases

·         MCDBA in MSSQL 2000/2005

·         Good problem solving & troubleshooting skills and good oral & written communication skills.

·         Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.

·         Full-Time positions available.

DB2 DBA

• Degree / Diploma in IT

• At least 2 years working experience as DBA  in administration and maintaining of critical DB2 RDBMS

• Working experience in AIX 4.x or later and  Red Hat Linux

• Experience as DBA in managing  large databases

• Working experience using Backup Software (such as Tivoli, Veritas, Brightstor) for backing up database

• Working experience in upgrading of Informix IDS database and also migration of DB2 database to Informix IDS database would be an added advantage

• Knowledge of Informix Front-end Development tools (such Informix 4GL, Informix Connect, Informix Client Software Dev. Kit)

• Knowledge of Shell scripting

• Proactive and with analytical thinking. Willing to perform production support work with great sense of responsibility & urgency

• Good problem solving & troubleshooting skills and good oral & written communication skills.
